The Bishop’s Stortford Sports Trust has a fully licensed bar with an extensive range of popular and well known real ales (a guest ale every week), lagers, ciders and beers, branded spirits and soft drinks at realistic prices. All major sporting events are shown in the bar on two screens, one a 42” plasma, with comfortable seating areas. Pool, darts and table tennis are played indoors, with a successful Pool team in the local league.

Guests are welcome when accompanied by members, and social membership is available from £5 to £25 per year depending on which club is joined. Playing membership is obviously more expensive, and is offered by each of the four constituent clubs which make up the Sports Trust, these being; Cricket, Hockey, Squash and Tennis. Details of each are available on request.

A fully equipped commercial kitchen provides both team teas for all clubs and a wide variety of meals for other functions. These range from simple finger-buffets to multi-course formal menus for club functions and private hires. Extensive menu options can be provided to suit all budgets and tastes, with seating for up to 120 people and room for a disco/band. The total capacity is around 175. Bar staff and waiter/esses are provided as part of any agreed package.

Room hire is charged depending on the hirer’s membership status, and a small damage deposit may be required. We are unable to provide a venue for 18th birthday parties. There is ample parking for most requirements and further seasonal parking is available if needed.

Corporate and family fun-days can take place year-round, particularly during the summer months. The grounds are available for hire for a variety of sports in conjunction with the bar and a catering facility as above which includes BBQs, both simple burger/hot-dog style and more extensive ranges, dependent upon budget.

We are an ideal venue for birthday parties, children's parties and wedding receptions.  If required a marquee may be erected adjacent to the pavilion.

We endeavour to provide a friendly, professional and affordable service in beautiful surroundings approaching 12 acres and take pride in the amount of repeat-business generated; the vast majority coming from recommendation and word of mouth. We do not advertise other than at Club level.
