The Club is now open again as of 25th July but with special restrictions and precautions in place to protect against infection from COVID 19.
We have taken all precautions in line with the guidelines issued by UK Government for indoor sports and England Squash.
We hope that you are enjoying your return to the club to play squash and racketball.
As with virtually every aspect of life, some things around the club are going to be different and we have been working hard to try to ensure the club opens in the best way, with the aim of keeping everyone as safe as possible.
We have taken all precautions in line with the guidelines issued by UK Government for indoor sports and England Squash. This has included doing a detailed risk assessment (see below) to minimise the risk of infection from Covid-19.
We have also produced some updated playing rules (see below) to help members understand how things should work. Please take the time to read these rules and follow them while playing at the club – they are important, both for your safety and for those of other members.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the club once more – see you soon!
Chantry Squash & Racketball Club is part of the Bishop’s Stortford Sports Trust. We have two well maintained courts that are always available for members, changing and showering facilities for both male and female members, and also a viewing area. We welcome players of all standards and all ages, and we pride ourselves on our family club approach. Its a great place for social squash and racketball with both mens and ladies leagues.
Bishop’s Stortford Sports Trust also consists of Bishop’s Stortford Cricket, Hockey and Tennis Clubs. All clubs are located at the same site and share the Charles Edwards Pavilion, which has a stunning view over the cricket pitch.
The Pavilion, overlooking the cricket ground, is the location for social events held throughout the year. These include quizzes, barbecues and discos.
